I don't really like 'About me' pages on the Internet as I never really know what to write and what would be interesting for others.

Well ok your here so I suppose you want to know some stuff......

Who are you?

My name is Adrian Harper, I'm a regular married guy in his 30s.

Where are you from?

Originally I'm from the Isle of Man (you know the small island in the middle of the UK with its own government, funny money, low tax and no national speed limit) but I now reside in Switzerland, living with my wife and three cats just outside of Zurich.

Why do you post all this crap on the web?

It depends on what you call crap, the photos in the gallery are there as the web is a nice place to store them and make them accessible to family and friends. For the posts in my blog, it is just somewhere to note down ideas and keep some sort of journal together, particularly about my studies.

What do you do?

I work as an IT Manager for a leading fund management / investment company.

You work and your a student?

Yes, I work full time and I am a part time student.

What do you study?

I hold a Bachelor of Science from the Open University and am currently working on a Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MSc ISM), online with the University of Liverpool.

What do you do when your not working or studying?

I have quite a few hobbies when I'm not working but I don't have enough time to keep up with them all.

Motorbikes - I have a Triumph Sprint ST1050 on which to blast around the Swiss roads.

Climbing - My wife and I have been climbing indoors for a few months, both top rope and leading around a French grade 5C / 6. Hopefully we will get climbing outside during 2006.

Badminton - I try to play once a week but it does not always happen!

Ice Hockey - I'm a supporter of Zurich Lions (ZSC, ZSC, ZSC!) and as a season ticket holder I try to watch them whenever possible.

Football - As an avid Manchester United fan I still try and keep up with the English soccer leagues.

Reading - We have more books in our apartment than you could shake a stick at, someday I will get around to reading them all.

Cigars - I like to smoke the occasional Cuban, or NC for that matter :)

Fishing - A rediscovered passion from my childhood, I now fish in both Zuerichsee and the Reuss river running through Bremgarten.

Gaming - I have a bad habit of playing MMORPGs when I can, at the moment I play World of Warcraft in the guild Wyrd Angles on the Euro Silvermoon server.
